Hotel Casanova

Miről szól?

„The girl in the picture is not me, but neither is she a fictional creation. There is no one else in the world I know in such vast and inexhaustible detail. No one besides this girl so thoroughly fills my memory. And I have no other memory but hers.” Annie Ernaux, leading figure in contemporary European literature, writes boldly, clearly and consistently about experiences that few have spoken of before. Through her texts, whilst recounting the most personal events of her life, the voices of the second half of the twentieth century, the stories of women and men, perspectives on social and political changes, and simple and complex passions emerge. Through the personal nature of these stories, set in the spaces of private life, Kriszta Székely’s staging addresses broader processes that affect and shape us all.
